Command Line Usage

The optional parameters which can follow the location name (or lat/long) are as follows...

Place Name:

Place names and/or latitude/longitude references can be entered.  One on each line, in the following format:

Location, Air Pressure, Minimum Temperature, Maximum Temperature, Terrain Option, Eye Altitude, Supplementary Altitude

(Each item, separated by a comma, following the Location is optional.)

The following examples/formats are all valid:

Aurora, 1011

Aurora #3, 1011

Aurora, 1011, 12, 24

Aurora,,,,,48

Aurora,,,,,48, 360

Aurora,,,,T

Aurora, 1011, 12, 24, T

Aurora #2, 1011, 12, 24, T

(The first line is requesting the place name Aurora and specifying the atmospheric pressure [QNH] to be 1011 hPa.  The forth line is specifying an observer altitude of 48 metres above ground level.  The fifth line is specifying an observer altitude of 48 metres above ground level and a terrain altitude of 360 m above sea level [this is only required when an altitude cannot be automatically determined].  The last line is specifying minimum and maximum temperatures and requesting Terrain Mode to be used.)

Commonly-used SI Units can be used (e.g. m, ft, hPa, etc.)  If no unit is specified then the unit specified on the form will be the presiding unit.

Location can be a place name (virtually anywhere in the world) or a latitude & longitude number (in decimal notation.)

When using latitude & longitude (in place of a place name), the latitude & longitude numbers should not be separated by a comma (although if they are, Solus may still recognise this format - depending on what follows them), and any other character, such as a space, can be used instead.  Additionally, a name, for your identification purposes in the output, can precede the lat/long numbers (e.g. My Location 0 -12 )

Note that (as in one of the examples above) immediately following the location name, the optional # parameter can be used (followed immediately by a number, no spaces) to select from more than one location returned with the same name.  (To see a list of names, first perform a test by changing the MODE Option on the submission form.)
